red_b_rackhamA/n: I've been a bit of a lurker on the spn_j2_bigbang Supernatural/Big Bang for a couple years now. I'm not much of a slash or RPF shipper myself, but the people there often turn out some really great works, and I've wanted to play in the sandbox too! ;D Last year I missed art claims, so I made sure to be more on top of it this year so I could scoop something gen to art, and I'm SO happy with the fic I got!!
It's FAB, you guys. The angst is delicious, the feels are high, and the story unexpected. I thoroughly enjoyed working with firesign10 to do this art, and come up with something appropriately haunting for her fic. :)
Fic Title: A Step Beyond Logic
Fic Summary: Starting when Gadreel kills Kevin, Dean suffers a series of personal losses that devastate him. He continues to hunt, but goes down a path of moral ambiguity, self-searching, and analysis that lead him to take drastic action. Working with Rowena, Dean confronts God (Chuck) and seeks to reshape the world on a scale that even the Winchesters have never attempted before.
