I am happy to meet you!! <3 First thing's first: I'm a rambler and I tried to keep it short but ...
As usual, I'd like to say that optional details are optional, so please feel free to do your thing and don't feel pressured whatsoever by my scrawling thoughts and musings. These are just ideas and suggestions, and you are fabulous for doing Yuletide!! My feelings for general likes et al haven't changed much the past few years (this is pretty much copied from last year with some tweaks), so it's mostly the same as my last few Yuletides, BUT I definitely need some fandom escape this year. Anyways, let's get into it. :D

I really would rather not read anything relating to Covid, quarantine, politics, etc. I just really need a fandom escape!!
I would rather not recieve high school/college AUs, rock band AUs, deaged fic, fics focused on kids or pregnancy - just not interesting to me!

Likes:
I adore unexpected/reluctant broships, sass & snark & sarcasm, gen fic, UST with a payoff, angst, fluff, witty banter, flirting. TIME TRAVEL ANYTHING - Groundhog Day AUs, time loop shenanigans, oops woke up in the wrong decade, and hand-wavey science/magic to do it, whatever. I'm in.
I am down for het shippy fic as much as I am gen fic. If it's shippy, I prefer flirting and falling in love over established relationship, and/or history/past relationship or angst/UST, but I'm also totally happy getting good established relationship stuff too (ex. food fights, sleepy Sundays, slice of life). I'll take any genre (except horror), including hurt/comfort, action/spy/heist, apocafic, pranks & shenanigans, slow burn, 5+1. Making light fandoms dark or dark fandoms light.
I'm totally cool with tropes! I am especially obsessed with enemies to lovers lately, but also very much enjoy best friends to lovers, there's only one bed, fake dating/married (esp if they're enemies to lovers AS WELL - oh bread and BUTTER), we both are here to kill the same person oops, accidentally in love, found family (especially when they're all dysfunctional hot messes), protective characters, I hate you stop saving my life.
And I'm super down for crossovers (with fandoms I know - see my tumblr for ideas) and AUs! Like, assassins/thieves/spies, fairytale, coffeeshop, 40s detective/noir, Supernatural (monster hunters) being some particular favs. I'm totally good with fusions.
tl;dr: unexpected/reluctant broships, sass, time travel, angst + humor/banter, yes to tropes (enemies to lovers!!), yes to shippy or gen.
Fandom Specific
(Note for all: non-canon scenarios just as welcome as canon scenarios, as long as nothing is too blatantly OOC. :D)
Doom Patrol: I binged the first 2 seasons last year and have been eagerly awaiting it's return. As of writing this letter, I have only watched a couple episodes of season 3, but I will be 100% caught up by the time fics are out, so if something in season 3 inspires you, go for it! Second, I love this show. I absolutely love the characters and how they are all so massively dysfunctional but still doing what they can to save the world - even if it's super reluctantly, lol. I love the dynamics they have with each other, and how the show frequently takes the time to give characters the space to work through some issues and in different friend combinations (ie. Victor and Rita working on training together, or Jane and Cliff bonding, Larry helping Jane with the well, Rita and Larry being platonic soulmates). To that end, I'd love to see a little more of combos that haven't been as explored yet, like Larry + Vic, or Jane + Rita or Cliff + Rita.
My number one favorite thing on the show is Larry and Rita's friendship, so I would love anything focused on that - maybe one of them gets into some trouble and needs a rescue, and the other one is there to get them out of it. Based on the first episode of season 3, I also love the idea of something showing the team trying to take care of Dorothy, when really it's clear she's the one taking care of all of them instead (whether this is related to them grieving Niles or not is up to you.)
Other things I would love to see if you so choose: mission gone wrong (naturally), pranks and shenanigans, reluctant broship/bonding, humor and sarcasm broken up by angst. This show is basically crack on crack on crack, so I don't know if there's anything weird enough to be off limits, haha, but I defs would love to have the focus kept on the main team of Rita, Larry, Cliff, Jane, and/or Vic, (individually or together in whatever combo), and less of others (tho feel free to include any character form the show, listed in the tag set or not). Also, Niles is complicated and frequently sucks, but I'd rather not read something is pure Niles bashing. (Lastly: I have not read the comics at all, nor seen any of Titans, though I know both exist. Just binged the show, so that's currently all I know.) I also gotta add that I am obsessed with the idea of a crossover with Doom Patrol and The Umbrella Academy, where they all cross paths in the midst of trying to save the world. So if that also tickles your muse...go for it!
Stardust: This is one of my fav movies ever - it is so fun and cute and lovely, and reminds me so much of The Princess Bride somehow in it's kind of "fractured fairytale" vibes. I would love to see whatever you'd like to do here, pretty much, especially if there's a good amount of fabulous humor like the original - you definitely do not have to stick to the character list. Tristan, Yvaine, Captain Shakespeare, and Septimus are my favs but I'm open to seeing pretty much anybody (as long as the focus isn't purely Dunstan and Una, only because they're the least interesting to me). Maybe a role reversal AU where Tristan is the star and Yvaine is the one crossing the wall to get it? Maybe something exploring the relationship between Septimus and his bro's - how many attempted murders happened before the brothers were officially killed, lol, or who killed who (that we didn't see)? Maybe magic happens and Septimus and/or some of the brothers are restored to life - what shennanigans happen then? Or maybe something with Captain Shakespeare and the lightning pirates - what is their daily life like? Do they frequently save people and pretend to be vicious the whole time? Or, if you just want to explore the world with obscure characters, I'm game - maybe the market where Una worked, where things cost 'the color of your eyes' and such, or the kind of creature and magic black market dealing that Ferdy the Fence is involved with? Or what happens if Humphrey accidentally goes through the Wall and gets tangled up in this world? Or...something else! ;D
Better Off Ted: I think I either write for or request this fandom every year, but I gotta, because this show is a pure underrated delight that more people need in their life, and if that's my life's mission, then so be it. XD So: I would happy to get any fic for any of the characters in the tagset this year - Ted, Veronica, Lem, Phil - in any combo of friendship and situational humor, and with or without Linda in the mix too (does not HAVE to include everybody listed in the tagset). I ship Ted/Linda and Ted/Veronica but enjoy them all plantonically as well. Any side Better Off Ted characters (ie. Dr. Bhamba, Lucy, etc) are welcome to crop up. I would love to see anything that's quirky like the show here - misunderstandings and sitcom tropes, something Veridian institutes going very wrong (the new slushie machine is the new Skynet? Veridian wants a man-eating plant until it's literally eating men? They really did weaponize that pumpkin? Veridian's artificial red dye #2346 is turning everyone lterally red?), pranks & shenanigans, humor, banter. How about some accidental fake dating between Linda and Ted? Or the yearly company retreat happens and there's only one bed? Or how about the yearly company retreat is camping out in the bush this year and none of them can handle or cope with that (or maybe one of them can, shocking everybody else)? Honestly, anything you can come up with will bring me joy. :D
Dead Like Me: I watched this a couple years ago now fir the first time, and it was such a sweet and interesting show - I enjoyed it so much. I'm not even sure what to ask for here, but I would love to see more of these characters (any combo or individual listed, and the absolute hot mess darling disaster that is Mason is very welcome to join as well, haha). Maybe some more of the struggles they go through being reapers, maybe something happens that upsets the balance of their world or the real world, maybe exploring some more of Rube or the other's pasts, maybe some exploring any burning questions or things-yet-unexplored in the show that you want to delve into? Humor, banter, snark, angst, lots of heart, AU...I'm game!
